Her accomplishments during that period included a host of award-winning performances by her madrigal choir, concert choir and mixed chorus. She also coached three acclaimed, student-directed a cappella groups. As music director for the High School productions she composed and presented the musical The Good Woman of Setzuan (based on the Bertolt Brecht play of the same name) in 1991 and over the years has directed many of the major American musicals in annual performances. Her groups regularly and successfully competed and performed in the programs of the Music Educators National Conference (MENC) and of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) of which she was state treasurer and president.

Following retirement in 1993 Mrs. Peaslee has pursued an active program of choral composition covering several genres. The Singers, one of three choral/organ works composed for the dedication of the rejuvenated nineteenth century organ installed at the historic Follen Church in Lexington, won the 2000 Vincent Silliman Anthem Award sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Musicians' Network (UUMN).

Mrs. Peaslee is an active choral festival adjudicator and director and also performs professionally as a harpsichordist/pianist in the Boston area.

A native of Minneapolis, her undergraduate degree was taken at the University of Minnesota, followed by a EdM at Harvard University. She resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts
