David Blue is the Artistic Director & Choreographer for the Rainy City Gay Men's Chorus. David has been involved in theatre and art for most of his life: classes with Bastion Theatre school and various productions at Langham Court Theatre in Victoria as a youth. David was a scholarship student with Les Ballets Jazz de MontrÈal for four years and was briefly with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. David sang with the Vancouver Men's Chorus for five years before founding the Rainy City Gay Men's Chorus. David is also a local artist and his paintings have been used for Starry Night for several years, the VMC's Christmas CD, 'Making Spirits Bright', and the 1997 Pride poster Proud Out Loud! David was the stage director for Rainy City's "Gay Broadway", artistic director and choreographer for "Judy" (July 1999) and "Downtown" (June 2000). David is also a composer and lyricist, and the Chorus is proud to perform a number of his works including "No More" (written with Stephen Smith), "Homo for the Holidays" (written with Tony Strangis) and pieces from his musical now in development, The Most Happy Fag.
