Zae Munn is Professor of Music at Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana where she has taught composition, theory, and orchestration since 1990. She also teaches at Interlochen Arts Camp, and has taught at St. Cloud State University, Bowdoin College, and Transylvania University.

Her DMA and MM degrees in composition are from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and her BM in composition is from Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University.

In recent years Munn has written choral music for the Madison Children's Choir, Nova Singers, South Bend Chamber Singers, Southlake Children's Choir, and for choirs at Harvard, Central Michigan, Otterbein, Valparaiso and the University of Illinois. She has written vocal music for Nancy Walker, Deborah Norin-Kuehn and Georgine Resick.

Born in 1953, her early musical training was as a cellist, with additional studies in piano, voice, and conducting. She has conducted college, community, and youth orchestras and wind ensemble.

Munn has written for mixed choir, women's choir and treble choir, with and without instrumental accompaniment. Her three song cycles include accompaniments by piano, flute and viola.
